Drawlie's Gates Are Closed.
Drawlie is being shut down as a social network and portfolio platform for digital art. It is no longer possible to use Drawlie in any way, including viewing or uploading artwork..
Drawlie was created with the vision of building a welcoming space for digital artists — a place where people feel at home, enjoy returning to, and can showcase their work regardless of audience size.
The project failed due to several factors, including poorly planned marketing, a team that was too small for such an ambitious undertaking, and rapidly rising costs. Another major challenge was the handling of AI-generated content. Reliable moderation of such content is costly and time-consuming for a small team, and not sustainable in the long term.
However, Drawlie is not meant to disappear entirely. The name will remain and continue to represent creativity and art, although its exact future form is still undecided. To us, Drawlie represents art in all its diversity and breadth — something we compare to the universe: boundless and diverse.
We look forward to future projects. However, we have decided not to pursue the idea of building a social network and portfolio platform at this point.
Thank you to everyone who supported the project. ❤️💜
